What a ride this has been.

Scam.

NAB and "shiny" prototypes.

Peter Jackson's "Crossing the Line" from "Boris" and "Natasha". All there was was 24fps and a run/stop button.

Ché. Absolutely no camera features except 4K to CF (in the last 30 minutes). Soderbergh shooting a feature with no backup... 4 months before official release.

RED ONE released as a prototype. Customers given the chance to take $5K instead of their camera. No one bit.

Important Build 12, then Build 16... now Build 20 with new color science.

RED Rocket. RPPs. REDCINE-X.

Scarlet and EPIC on the horizon. 500,000 views of "Testing, testing". 24 hours in a day. 7 days a week. No sleep. Insurmountable problems every step of the way. A community that demands and forgives.

"Book of Eli", "The Informant", "District 9"... and hundreds of others.

It really is mind-boggling what has happened in the last 3 years. We thank all of you that have been along for the ride. More to come.

Jim

What you've achieved has changed the direction my life as well as countless others I suspect.

Must be a great feeling to have created something so powerful!

You have no idea the impact RED has made in the film industry in Vietnam. There will be quite a few Shot On Red features hitting theaters between Dec 09 to Feb 2010. It's been amazing being part of the ride. Thanks Jim!

No, thank you sir. Thank you for changing everything we thought about digital cinema. Thank you for daring to make an incredible professional camera at a ridiculously low price. Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this company.

Thank you.

You scare me when you talk like that.

Whats to come I wonder?

More Scams please!

(P.S Scam stands for Super Cam)

Ace... you are one of my favorite posters/friends. It really is nice to see you back. Don't go away again... :-)

In a world of unemployed starving filmmakers your hope, faith, and investment into your passion not only made some of our dreams seem realistic, but has possibly given us a strong and vital future by allowing us a choice that we never had before. You and your team should be monumentally proud of what you have done for us because I can assure you that we are.

I was Oakley (or at least a small part of it) for 32 years... and in 3 years at RED I have experienced more joy, frustration, challenge and competition than ever in my life... times 10.

Thanks...

Jim

I have to say that this was really something...

Your Scamera is what convinced me to plunge headlong into my dream of film making. I never thought it would be possible for me to actually make movies - It seemed completely insurmountable. Cameras were either out of my reach, or crummy looking. You changed that, and in it, the course of my life thus far. Im sure there are countless people who would tell the the same thing. Thanks Jim.

Im sure the effect of your company on the history of film will be hard to judge and larger than it can ever be given credit for. So many stories that would have never been told will be. So many authors have found their voices.

Thanks for the S-CAM!

and for changing everything and doing what "couldn't be done".

Thanks for the hard work and sacrifice too...

And the Ranch...
