After nearly having my brain scrambled by the ridiculously fast and senseless cuts in "Quantum of Solace" (

) I was very pleasantly surprised by the epic 10-minute shootout in the Guggenheim museum in "The International."

I hope more action films will get back to the hard work of staging action scenes properly, so that all the hard work isn't all done with machine-gun editing in post.

Great shootout in that film.... right up there with Heat.

Yeah great scene - but by being so it killed the climax and made the story suck. But the story had other weaknesses as well (banks have so many means to make your life difficult - why should they go straight to a contract killer? And how the investigators find out about the second sniper in Milan is a ridiculous Deus-ex-machina-trick. Every CSI-twist is better... And many other story-turns that offend my logic). Pitty, because I like Tykwer's directing. And the soundtrack is superb.
