The Hobbit - Shot on EPIC?

[Drew Ingram]

I heard rumors that Jim and Jarred's two week testing took place in New Zealand with a certain renowned director. No idea if it's true. But, here's hoping that when the Hobbit finally gets rolling (hopefully with PJ at the helm) they will shooting with EPICs!

Anyone else heard the New Zealand rumors?

Yup, that possibility has been on the radar for a long time.

Yeah, here's hoping. The only reason I bring in up again is because of the rumors posted today on comingsoon.net about the project beginning in January. Of course, rumors seem to be the only things that come from the Hobbit lately

Well, Jim certainly went somewhere far away for a two week test. I would say this rumour is more plausible than the average rumour. Mr. Jackson has been anticipating Epic for a while too.

Seems like *what* they shoot that project on is not really the big worry so much as if they can get out from under MGM's financial woes and actually get it done. I'll be happy to watch even if it's shot on Super 8...

I'd be even happier to watch it on Super-8 if that meant that Kodak would bring back Kodachrome stock for the shoot.

Ha, agreed.
