  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

THE HATEFUL EIGHT Trailer! (Shot in Panavision 70mm)

Not to be picky, but I don't dig the purple/blue tint in the shadows, looks like it's released with the wrong gamma or something, shadows are too bright. Other than that it looks splendid.
 
Mmm - on the fence here. I like the exteriors, but the interiors do look very studio-set like/sterile... I'm missing haze/fog/atmos (image wise) & dust/dirt/age (in terms of costumes and art direction) - a bit of 'grit' if you see what I mean.

Maybe I just like the over gritty/grime/sweat of later Spaghetti Westerns.

But, I'm sure it'll be worth a viewing and my opinion won't do it ant harm - LOL!
 
i personally think it looks great, but the trailer content is falling flat for me, hopefully it doesnt do the film justice.
 
great looking film but it does feel like I'm watching actors trying to convince us of their performances from behind lots of wardrobe, props, and makeup. not quite sold on the actors, at least not in this trailer.
 
Looks good but bad trailer.... but lots of good movies had bad trailers.... at least the Weinstein Company will live a little longer.
