Well...looks like I know the WHOLE movie now! :P

Beautifully shot though :)

Hehe, yup - long trailer! But the story is pretty well known, right? With the books and the original swedish film adaptions, so... not that big of a harm really ;) The thing I like about this trailer is that I get a clear sense of the tone (and the visuals) that are very "Fincher'esque". I wasn't too crazy about the book or the story or the original film adaption(s), but I'm really looking forward to Fincher's take - because it's Fincher! A story is just a story in my opinion - it's how you tell it that is interesting to me. Fincher has always been interesting to me (and that's an understatement!) :)

I for one loved the Swedish original, and am curious to see if this can beat, from a story-telling point of view, what is already an excellent film. Visually which will be better is a different question, and the new one might be more compelling visually.

I can't help but feel Noomi Rapace was perfect for the role of Lisbeth Salander. From the advert Rooney Mara seems to lack something by comparison. Of the trilogy I only really liked the first of the three Swedish films (and books for that matter). Worth a watch still.

I just saw the 35mm trailer. It looks sick! This is the best shot digital feature ever! I am really shocked!

I watched the trailer and thought it to be quite filmic, unlike the new Pirates of the Carribbean, does anyone have insights as to how Fincher did it?
There's also a video on youtube of DiCaprio smoking which reminded me of the film feel that Fincher did as well.

The trailer looks fantastic. Really looking forward to this one.
