Found this film touching and radically different than anything else out there.

Watched it tonight at Arclight Hollywood.

I was the DIT on this film.

I disagree with some of the final grading choices they made on the film - but still a great film. At least in my opinion.

Great Performances, unique story. AMAZING soundtrack.

Thank you very much for pointing this out, it very likely saved my life, for If I spent 20$ and an evening on this, I would likely hang myself.

Dan, Was the film shot on Red?

It was indeed MX, and this was in February 2010 - when I think fewer MX's were available - like not that many if I remember right...

To the guy who was about to hang himself - please do spend the $20 and see the film.

If you get my drift.

Looks like an interesting film to me Dan, and visually quite rich. Lenses used? Filtration? Lighting? Any other notes. Thanks, Tim

Cooke S4's - were the lenses - little to no filtration.

zero data errors during production. I would one-light the film for the DP - who would always tell me that the way I was coloring it was too classic Hollywood - I thought I was just putting the skin tones in the right zone mostly ;)

Anyway - there is only one scene in the film that looks like they kept it the way I colored it - see if you can guess after watching which one...

Good one, Dan. ( :

Well done Dan. I went to see the film last night at the Arclight. It was followed with a great Q&A with Miranda July. The film was fantastic and unsettling.

Lighting department was great on the film - headed by Texan Mark Manthey. He's done work for Emmanuel Lubezki. Grip department - possibly one of the most lackluster bunch of grips I have ever worked with. They didn't really want to be there. They should have stayed with movies of the week, hallmark shit basically.

I actually believe the grip department harmed the final product and detracted from what it could have been.

One of the restraints of indie films I guess.

finally got a chance to see this last night at a film festival.

i was happy to spend my $20 on it. and i'll most probably spend another $20 on her next film.
