The first true 4K DI theater in NYC is now ready.

[axel ericson]

Hi Everyone,

My new 4K DI theater is now fully up and running and we are the first company offering true 4K DIs in NYC at this point (4K in P3 color space on a 4K projector and a large screen).
We just hosted a 4K event last week with Facilis (SAN solution) and the team from Assimilate and BlueFish. We were showing true 4K real time grading projected on our Christie 4220 4K projector.

So for those of you who want feature grade 4K grading in NYC (or 2K features too), feel free to contact me for your projects.

Here is the new room:

The Christie 4220 is not a cheap model but it looks incredible and it is loaded with features, (including all the color space conversions). We also got the 4K lens on it since we determined it made a significant difference.
It is rock solid when measured on our probes - from deep black to highlights - and it is ultra stable. Our clients love it.
We just added their new DCP IMB (so that we can play our DCPs for QC before they go out) which can play 4K DCPs as well as high frame rates.
