The Directors: Full Uncensored Interview

Thanks

Thanks for sharing Mark.

Really enjoyed it. Good to see they are all human. Love film and hate digital .. hahhahahaaa

Yeah I thought the way Tarantino seemed to elicit his own brand of awe amongst his fellow nominees was interesting. He both seemed to drive some of the others nuts as he spoke, but they also listened and absorbed it with the awareness that Tarantino works on his own special level. That was my favorite part of the round table, besides all the fascinating small tidbits they were dropping.

What was particularly interesting to me was these guys talking in the presence of their peers. Loads of personal 1 to 1 interviews with directors are around but nice to see how they talk in front of other directors. Thanks Mark

Thanks for digging this up, Mr. Toia. Something that was more than worth the time to watch.

Completely off topic, but it might amuse you that the documentary "Sunshine" you linked back when about that guy working commercials in China selling Big Macs still haunts me (in a good way).

Ang and Gus were well placed next to Tarantino because they are the cool, even energies next to a volcano.

Ang Lee is actually underrated IMO (even though he gets a fair bit of acclaim). He's up there as a director. Stanley Kubrick's producer Jan Harlan said they had ear-marked him to direct his epic Napoleon project. Sense and Sensibility and Brokeback Mountain both completely bowled me over and still do on repeat viewings.
