  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Cure for Scarlet Fever

I simply don't understand people who go out of their ways to post entire threads about how they can't understand someone else's problem.

I guess you also go to health boards and post threads like, "I don't understand all your whining about your health problems. Myself, I'm totally healthy, so y'all shut up now!"

Personally, I think this condescending attitude is very odd. What makes you think you know what others want or need? Is everyone filming fiction? Is nobody interested first and foremost in the visual aspect of movie making?

Geez, some people.

From the viewpoint of an old pro turned amateur, Scarlet 2/3" will be the first digital motion camera ever in the under $10k market that can equal or better the image quality and creative flexibility of my 40 year old Bolex 16mm. It has been a long long wait. A few months more is not a problem.

The only real cure for Scarlet fever is a Scarlet. :emote_hippie:

It would take a special kind of incompetence to make it look cheaper than you shot it for!

Hi Tim,

And then there's a film like The Room. Crappy story and crappy footage. And it's a cult hit! Go figure.:smile5:

Leave it to writer/director/producer/actor/douchebag Tommy Wiseau to prove the theory!

I own "The Room" on DVD. A $6,000,000 steaming pile of crap. Shot on BOTH 35mm film and 2/3" HD simeltaneously! Side by side on the same sticks no less!

I have the DVD as a reminder on how exactly to NOT make a movie.

Money and equipment are no substitute for talent.

Man... I was sure somebody was going to answer,"More cow bell.".
