I don't have an Epic yet but I would like to use The Clutch and the Bomb EVF.
The question is where do I attach the EVF to the camera for an optimal placement when using The Clutch?

I don't like articulating arms and would like to use The Spinner and attach it to a SWAT Rail on the Top Plate or one of the side Ribs.

Pictures of that combination in action would really help.

Thanks!

You've got it right man. SWAT rail on the side of the top plate, with the spinner is a perfect combo. I use this all the time. The spinner's "L" bracket (where the EVF sits) has a height adjustment to level the EVF perfectly with your eye. While the spinner is an expensive little f*cker, it's worth every penny in my opinion. A beautiful piece of engineering, and it works great.

This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks.
Yeah The Spinner is a bit expensive but I love the fact that you can easily slide it on or off.

I love it with the DSMC top mount because it gets the EVF over to my left eye

Most people operate with their right eye to the EVF, but I suppose that's a nice option to have. However, it also raises the height of the EVF attachment. SWAT rail attached to the side of the top plate puts it in just the right place IMO.

Yes i know most people use there right eye to use a EVF but i sadly can't so i will have to use the top mount to use a EVF.

Damn I use my left eye as well.
Just tried to use my right eye but it doesn't work.

So I will get the Adjustable Top Mount as well.

Thanks guys

Trevor,

What parts are you using to attach your AB battery on the back of the, scarlet/epic? Looking for something very similar but I thought you had to buy a RED mounting plate to attach the AB mounting plate to. Looks like you have a plate that mounts to the camera, then straight to your AB. No need for the intermediate plate?

Thanks.

Left eye is controlled by the right side of the brain wich is the "artistic side"... lucky guy !

I use the EVF mount from Wooden Camera, it works for right and left eye and price is fair.

They even sell and extension arm (8") that allows even more freedom with the eyepiece.

Thank guys, i'm buying one now.
