I posted my cinematography blog, "Cinevenger" here about nine months ago, but my ability to post was frozen a few months ago because of a show I was working on. So, I wanted to re-introduce the site with the first of several articles about the cinematography of 'Breaking Bad':

I'm interested in what people think about the show's cinematography, especially in terms of it being "cinematic," and what that really means.

I love the show, and a DP on my set the other day was also going on about the cinematic techniques of the show. By far one of the best shot shows currently on tv! As a recent cancer survivor myself its a very compelling plot and I will be sad to see Walter go, that is if I don't go first lol

Note that the show is all shot on film, 35mm 3-perf and Panavision cameras. I agree, they generally do a very good job, and this last season has looked and sound better than ever. One of the best series of the last decade, in my opinion.

Another 12 episodes to go in 2013. It ain't over with yet -- not until Walt fires the last shot.

Great show, great unique and fresh shots !!

12?? I thought only 6. 12 is better.

Unless something changed season 5 is supposed to be 16 episodes. 8 have already aired and 8 more in 2013.

Yes, 8 more to go. Vince Gilligan and Bryan Cranston have said this serveral times so I believe it!

I haven't stopped talking about it for 3 years, it's the closest thing I've seen to perfect.

Is it just 8? OK, 8 it is. I believe they go into production next month (November) in Albuquerque.

My main point is that the show is not over with -- yet.
