OK, so now I've had a good look at the Sony E Mount and pretty much everything I said in "The Case For Micro Four Thirds on Scarlet (and possibly Epic)" about Micro Four Thirds, applies to it; their NEX-7 has an amazing 24.3 Megapixel APS-C sized sensor (23.5 X 15.6mm) and an even shorter flange distance, so there is an adapter for everything else, although I couldn't find one for four thirds, but I'm sure one will show up soon enough. If red came out with a sensor of similar specs, the four thirds glass would cover a 4417 pixel circle. Even more interesting, they are making the specs on the mount interface public! Add their A mount adapter with the translucent mirror technology and you've got a platform that has some serious possibilities by fully supporting in lens IS, autofocus, Iris control, etc.. Anyone with the expertise will be able to make adapters that take full advantage.

And speaking of new cameras - I see that Canon has just announced their new flagship - The new EOS 1D-X. http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/canon-1dx/canon-1dxA.HTM weak on the video side 1080p 30fps, 18 megapixels, full frame stills with crazy fast ISOs up to 204,800!

The 18-200 E-Mount Lens is great. It has the best steadyshot I´ve ever seen and it´s very sharp. Autofocus works also extremely well, but that´s a camera thing, I presume.

The new 24mm Zeiss F1.8 for the E-mount is great too :)

I have the Sony E mount 16mm prime and 18-55mm zoom. I figured that the glass is too cheap to put on an expensive camera without getting mocked, but if they make a working adapter to let me use my cheap handycam glass I guess I would try it. I been squandering money left and right lately, so I assumed I would get a fixed Scarlet since I can't afford decent glass, but if this really comes true I might get the non fixed model and utilize my cheap glass til I can afford something decent... So I am interested in seeing one hit market, though I am sure I will be laughed at for using a $250 dollar prime and $300 dollar zoom....
