HOLLY COW!! I just put "The Cardinal" from 1963 into my DVD payer and could not make it past the opening credit roll without being utterly blown away!

Leon Shamroy, ASC did a brilliant job (well at least for the first three minutes that I've watched, LOL!).

Otto Preminger who directed it , did some fantastic films through out his long career. - Advice and Consent has a beautiful B&W Anamorphic look. - The Human Condition (his last film) even though it doesnt look good (my opinion), has a stellar performance by a youngish Attenborough, and the premise for the film is spot on, and still relevant today.
