The Big Sept 29th Canon Announcement

[Liam Hall]

After all the speculation about the "most important announcement in Canon history" this is really quite hilarious:

[Raul Gonzo]

All the replies to that on that site are hilarious.

[Tom Lowe]

LMAO.

There are a bunch of threads at places like DPReview where people are pulling their hair out and griping about "stupid copiers..."

[Brad Webb]

Classic.

[Sanjin Jukic]

Finally we are all sort of CANON amateurs :mad2:

[Darren Orange]

This is pretty funny....Maybe we can get a RED to send secure images to a canon printer via PDF, nevermind....

[Emery Wells]

I know we think that us creatives are the center of the world, and especially Adobes, but last time I checked Acrobat and it's associated products were pullin' in a billion dollars/year. Moving physical and electronic documents around the world securely is big business. So while I was hoping for something ridiculously cool as much as you... let's try to have a little perspective here.

[Michael Hastings]

The rumors identified the Sept 29 announcement as being from another division than cameras weeks ago.

Yes I know, as does everybody else. It didn't stop the speculation though. And that's funny.

[Bill Anderson]

But the real issue remains: is it as good as Scarlet?

[Wesley Scoggins]

After all the speculation that Adobe and Canon we're going to at least work together to put DNG on an upcoming Canon rig, we get copiers.

I am underwhelmed. I will definitely wait for Red's "Big October Announcement" before I pick up a 7D now.

[Kevin Wild]

I laugh and pity all of those Canon rumor-guessing geeks.

Now, back to the RED rumor-guessing geeks about what a "RED Gun" does.

Well I'm tipping the "RED GUN" is what's used to blow the doors off my old p.o.s. camcorder.

Hihihi... love it!
