  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Best Wireless HD Transmitter for under $500

this thread is so funny! Keep up the good work boys. geek funny that is. Never the less this AirsyncHD is so cheap I'm getting one or more just for funzies! so funny....

Yeah, It's cheap as hell. If you can stuff it into a box that isn't made to sit on top of a cable box, add a lemo power cable, then it may be a fun little gadget. I might have to buy one and take it apart ;-)

Well My Current Setup in not perfect nor pretty.

Well My Current Setup in not perfect nor pretty.

I will be doing a full reboot of fully informational posting with zero negativity when I get off the set tonight.

Questions are welcome.

Posts from other vendors whether good or bad are not welcome. I have never come into a Teradek thread and started putting it down or trying to detract from what they are doing.

I was even at Showbiz expo and never did anything rude or disrespectful to provoke them.

Anyone who knows me in person understands that I am a thoughtful, respectful, kind individual.

If anyone disrespects me though, I have no problem defending myself.

That being said, look for my fully informational, fully positive, non-advertising post later this evening.

Peace to all.

And Albert, if you can live with an hd feed that lacks timecode, with hdmi in/out (hdsdi if you use a converter box at this time), in a plastic casing - and you want less than 1ms latency, and a visually lossless signal then the airsynchd might be the product for you.

Like I said my current Setup is nor perfect nor pretty. I actually call it Ugly Bertha For Fat and Ugly. (all In one Mobile Rack. which converts to a table.).
So yes DAN I think I could live with that. it s said the Tricaster850 does not need timecode. I might test it with a set of four.

It amazes me the amount of negativity around here. it's very very sad. Dan's find is great I used it for a full week, best money I have ever spent on video village.

Hello everyone,

My first post here - so please be kind. :) My name is Charlotte Han and I am the senior marketing manager of brite-View. Nice to "meet" you all.

I want to first thank Dan for making it possible for the Air SyncHD to work with cameras. I've always respected innovators as such, connecting the dots and eventually painting the big picture for the rest of us. And that's why we're partnering with him to develop products for the professional market, which we foresee to launch next year.

I highly respect Teradek's polished solution, too - they are certainly the leader in this field and we have much to learn from them.

Meanwhile, I do feel comparing Teradek's Cube to brite-View's Air SyncHD is like comparing apples to oranges, at least at the moment. I want to encourage you all to try out different solutions in order to determine what works best for you.

We have received so much interest and we want to thank you for all the requests. If you're interested in trying out the Air SyncHD, the product is already available on our website or on Amazon.

However, in order to make the Air SyncHD work with your cameras, we need Dan to hand-make the power supply (the pre-production version). If you don't mind waiting until Q1 2011 when we ship the accessory kit, please email me at charlotte@brite-view.com and I'll place you on the pre-order list (no financial commitment). If you need it now and today, please contact Dan or myself to see if it's possible. He does need some lead time for that.

Regarding Zinwell – yes, the Air SyncHD (and many more WHDI products being sold around the world) is produced by Zinwell. I want to let you know that we (brite-View) have full access to Zinwell’s knowledge and experience in the WHDI technology. Our products will be backed up by a manufacturer that is at the forefront of this cutting-edge technology.

Thanks again - we are very excited to be part of your discussion and consideration. I look forward to working with you, or producing products that make your life easier soon.

Best,
Charlotte

YAY!

We're talking about the product again!!!

There's a big enough market for everyone, its a small globalized world.

I'm in Honduras and on Reduser all the time. I've bought the majority of my equipment based off information and recomendations off here, but it would be irresponsible to make that decision just off the information given here. Yes, it's nice to have the tech specs and questions answered, but to really get the most for your money, you have to try out the equipment first.

For everything I've bought, researched or read about, I've flown up to the States and tested it before making a final decision. I think that should apply to all systems no matter how much information you read or how much more "aggresively" someone markets their product.

I'm seriously considering getting an AirSync HD, but am also testing other options before I make the call on who makes the cut Summer '11. Look forward to playing with your gear, Dan.

smaller

smaller

Thats the word Dan, keep up the work and get us a better ,further, smaller ,tougher product. Everyone will be happy.

Is there an interim solution to power the transmitter from Red One until the accessory pack is available?

Here's a preliminary video I did with Lance Rand (2nd AC), on the set of the feature film Killer Holiday.

I got my Brite-view kit from Dan Kanes. He's the go to man for wireless HDMI on the Red.
