One of the great things about the new lightweight Bomb EVF is that mounting it to the camera with a Noga/Israeli arm is finally a viable solution.
However, until now i've always been frustrated by the inability of the arms to move in the two vertical axis of a traditional viewfinder mount like the Element Technica or Alexa mount.
What I've come up with uses the new DSMC Sliding Top Handle, Dog bone bllock and a few parts from Zacuto along with a Jumbo Noga arm to achieve a truly versatile, point anywhere, mounting solution.
Check it out...
As you can see in the studio/tripod configuration you can instantly vary the distance from the camera using a single knob.
And you can also instantly transition to a forward handheld position that gets the Epic body onto your shoulder.
The key additional components are the Red Dogbone block which along with some 1" 1/4-20 socket screws allows the Noga to attach to the right side of the Bomb, and a Zacuto Zud & Zicro mount that allow for a secure quick on/off solution that can be mounted directly to side of the Sliding Top Handle.
I decided to use the Jumbo arm because I like the truly solid lock down it provides with the Bomb but a regular Red arm or Isralei arm should still suffice if you have one lying around.
Also the $325 does not include the DSMC Sliding Top Handle and SWAT rail since I figure you'd be buying these anyway, if not the total is $600 but that's still a deal.
