just thought id mention the fact that since alot of us have or plan to buy full jib's, steadycam, dolly, tripods that can currently handle the weight of anything 15lbs and less, scarlet is once again an Amazing product. to think that within 18-24 months, i will be shooting untethered 3k for a 2k finish, instead of DV or HD, with all of the cheaper support gear which is just fine for the weight class almost brings a lil red tear to my eye. for this reason alone, scarlet is worth buying as well. RED one was a S16 and 35mm weight class of camera, so, with an additional $15k to $50k needed in decent support gear to handle the weight, executing non locked off or handheld shots meant owning the high end stuff or needing to rent it, which inevitably adds to the longterm costs of the camera's abilities and how quickly the camera "pays you back"
thanks again RED.... scarlet's gonna save me $thousands$ in support gear upgrades
