Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D

Yesterday principal photography began on Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D in Shreveport, Louisiana.

3ality Digital 3D systems, EPIC cameras and support from OFFHOLLYWOOD/DIGITAL FX.

I've been down here for the first two days of shooting in 100 degree weather - and the EPICs are performing fantastically.

Edit: It has been hot as balls down here. 105+ weather for the last three weeks or so.

It has been over 100 degrees almost every day of this production. Some days the heat index exceeds 120.

Currently, the production is heading towards wrap and are running a full second until - day one unit - night one unit - same gear. So they are literally shooting these EPICs 24 hours a day - without issue.

I just wrapped a feature in Shreveport and drove past the Leatherface signs and sets daily. We were shooting MX in the same heat everyday outside and only experienced boot problems occasionally. My 1st is now working second unit with Leatherface.

Shreveport has a lot going for it.

It does get hot as hell and humid.....mosquitos.....rain......I have crazy pictures and stories from shooting in the other "LA"
