  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Test pilots...

Hey Jannard:

We rented a RED ONE from a rental house in LA...and we are heading to South East Asia on May 31 to shoot our movie. We are dealing with a lot of shot with Tungsten Light there since most of the places we will be shooting doesn't have wall socket..so is this update going to be available then? My guess is not..oh BTW while we were testing our camera...TED from Red Digital stop by the place to show the reel you guy had on a the 4k projector..it was sweet...and kinda funnie he heading to south east asia too around the time we are heading there..keep up the good work..can't wait for you next set of camera.

Oh wait, you want to test a CAMERA?!

Next time then....

(yes, that's really me in the photo, believe it or not!)

But seriously, I was reading Graeme's Twitter feed and it looked like he was having one of his inspirational days, so this is great news! Looking forward to the improvements!

Per ardua ad astra....

Test Pilots.

Test Pilots.

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far (and there are a lot of replies!) This is very generous of you.

I'll be contacting each of you over the next few days with some test instructions / estimates for code availability.

Dude, coolest picture I've seen in a bit. What was that shot on??

it was shot on a 35mm still camera mounted in a cage on the wing of the plane (which is a 1938 T-6 Texan) beautiful plane. Here is another of myself flying formation with another T-6.

I knew there had to be some other pilots on REDuser...now I've found three today alone! What kinda stuff have you flown Paul? I just got my PPL last year (still just single engine bug smashers, and just for fun...at least for now.)

And Colin-
I want to fly a T-6 more and more every time I see one. If only I could get those HP, complex and tailwheel endorsements I'd be all set!

Okay...sorry everybody...that's two flying posts for me in one day. What can I say? It's my second passion, right after cinematogrpahy of course.
Peace,

-Harry

Single engine land license here! Trained in Pipers. Love low wing! Only problem is the airport rental here in Napa is almost 100% Cessna and although that will be nice for taking pics, I still love my fighter style low wings!

My Wife's fav joke: How do you know when there is a pilot in the bar? Don't worry, he will tell you!

Ouch! :)

Haha...so true. I'm really lucky too...got to get my certificate at 19, so with any luck, I've still got a whole life of flying ahead of me. I got my certificate in Skyhawks, and have about 80 hours in those, but got checked out in January in the school's new DA20 and that things an absolute beauty, and I really mean just gorgeous to fly. Going back to the tin can with wings on top will be hard ;)

And oh...my Scarlet plus and airplane (and of course my CFI) is gonna be one sweet combo for aerial shots!
Peace,

-Harry
