Tesla and Car Rig OK?

Upcomig shoot, with a TESLA Model S and a Film Tools car rig (6" suction cups). As this vehicle has an Aluminum body, seeking experience sharing, with such a setup, to hopefully avoid suction cup damage to the aluminum.

None on the Model S aside from lightweight rigs, but a staggering number of modern mid to high end cars and almost all those predisposed to being sporty have had aluminum body panels for years, mostly hood, trunk, and roof but increasingly quarter and door panels as well. Never heard any horror stories.

Suction based rigs should be fine as long as there is a non-porous clear coat, lacquer finish, etc. Any magnet based rigging is another story and will likely fail on aluminum.
