Telescope Imagining

Greetings,

I recently became involved with an Astronomy Department at a University, and they are looking into installing a new telescope within the next couple years. It would be for some scientific research, but mostly creative/artistic uses and general observation. I'm doing a bit of research on imaging solutions for the project, and I am curious if anyone knows how the Dragon Sensor might perform as an Astro-imaging device.

For capturing still frames, or video?

Stills primarily, but video is also a possibility for certain types of objects/events.

Dragon is not a long-exposure sensor... so it may not be what you're looking for, dependent on expected exposure time.

Telescope cameras are like John said, long exposure. As in 10 min or more . They have sensors that are chilled to -30 Celsius . Dragon sensor is heated ! Wrong cam.
