Ted in Turkey!

[Clint Lealos]

Today was an awesome day! My good friend Yasin from Digitalist and I had the pleasure of showing Ted around Istanbul today. Ted's a great guy and we really appreciate him taking the time to hang out with us and chat about the new cameras. We had a small casual gathering at a cafe where Ted graciously let us all fondle a fully functioning Epic and Scarlet! Here are some pictures from our little meeting. I'm the guy who looks like a little boy who just met Santa Thanks again Ted, and thanks to the entire Red Team for making this camera a reality. Peace.

Love seeing these shots of Ted and the Epic coming in from around the globe! Looks like you guys fed him well.

Was Charles Richards there?

Was great fun. Everywhere I've been on this worldwide journey I've had terrific hosts. Clint and the gang in Istanbul were terrific. Just leaving a presentation I did in Tel Aviv's biggest rental house for REDs (and lots of other gear too) called Utopia, also took great care of me, and they had a bunch of DPs that came out for the event, Just 5 or 6 more countries on this trip and then back home to prep for the NAB adventure.

Also I've been shooting some bts footage of all the places that EPIC is visiting on a tiny little AVCHD camera, i took along, some fun footage. - if I could figure out how to Get the files to import into my Mac I would post some. Turns out it's much easier to bring RED files into a mac for viewing and post than this little consumer cam.

[Jason Diamond]

ted,
try clipwrap to use those AVCHD files

You should have shot EPIC bts with SCARLET

Any plans to come to Canada?

Thanks for the tip on Clipwrap - another buddy told me to use the VLC export module, but that keeps crashing... we'll see when I get a chance to play with it again - off on another flight now.

Trying to get up to Vancouver and Toronto sometime after NAB...

Ted,

with any AVCHD camera is just very easy using FCP:

Log and Transfer, find your AVCHD files on a card or drive, click or drop and go...FCP will transfer selected footage clip on your sequence timeline...
