Jack... I agree with you. I had heard that some had gotten RED tattoos (without any encouragement from anyone at RED) and I wanted to get pics of those people. It should never have escalated to encouraging people to get inked.

With all due respect Jannard, I think it's kind of wrong to encourage or giving incentives people to have a permanent tattoo.

I actually posed the question to myself after reading this thread... "Would I get a RED tattoo, or any tattoo for that matter, even if RDC offered me a free Dragon camera?" I studied it from the perspective of how much I would like to have one more camera for that third angle, and then from my deep-seated respect for my skin in all layers including Dermis, Epidermis, and Hypodermis which act as a barrier between my flesh and organs and the polluted air that we live and breathe. I just can't see breaching that barrier with a dye that having breached that layer of protection, is free to affect the unprotected parts of my flesh and organs.

My hypothetical decision was to not get a tattoo, even for the gift of an Epic Dragon. (Of course, hypothetical decisions are easy to make because there is no penalty or reward attached to them, other than hypothetically. '-)

Of course, sir. Money and toys should have no bearing on ethos. Something like this has to be done of free will, and not for sake of a gift. Otherwise, the act in both directions would be valueless.

I think it's awesome that people have done this, I'm just not that guy. I'm more like Ted: mine is on the inside. Don't need anything besides opportunity, and a lot of that, we make for ourselves.
