Need advice on choosing from Tamron 18-200 and Sigma 18-200 or Tamron 28-200 and Sigma 28-200 digital lenses for my Canon SLR digital. Or is Canon 28-200 better? Use especially for wedding photography. Have a budget. Your help will be much appreciated.

SiGMA's new 18-200 Contemporary might be worth a look if it really has to be a "cheap" one-in-all solution. I would look at their 17-70 too, because it gives you a slightly better selection of apertures and better performance. There is also a Tamron 24-70/2.8. I think this is a great starting point for your scenario.

I would sacrifice the bigger zoom-range anytime to get great performance in the most important zoom-range and a constant aperture of 2.8.

You didn't say anything about your camera, i guess it's a APS-C-body? I mention it because some of those lenses are not usable on fullframe-cameras. The 28-200's are all pretty old, i can't say anything about them but i guess they are not really up to todays standards.

Most professional wedding photographers swear on the good old 24-70/2.8 + 70-200/2.8-combo (on a fullframe-body) and then add even more (like a 16-35, a 50mm with low aperture and maybe a macro). For good reasons you'll rarely see someone using a 18-200. I personally would even prefer one great prime lens over such a mega-zoom, but thats just me. ;)

To be honest, i wouldn't recommend any of those mega/travel-zooms for serious jobs like paid wedding photography. If you can't afford the big players, then think about renting them.
