Pre-ordered today. I'm pretty excited about this lens. Covers full frame, relatively fast, good usable focal range, and image stabilization. I have a feeling this one will be a fixture for gimbal work.

Unless you need F2.8, I would really consider the Canon 16-35mm F4 IS. This lens is very sharp and has 77mm filter threads. I love mine and the IS is effective for hand holding (probably gimbal work too although I haven't tried).
