Selling a modified Talon Remote Head, the VZ Cinema Pro K3. The typical Talon Head is an L-style, but this head has been modified to a U-style cradle.

We used this to accomodate our ET Atom 3D rig. It can accommodate a 3D rig up to 12 1/2" wide or a larger, heavier 2D camera system, as well as being fully compatible with smaller cameras and rigs.

The normal Talon Head motors have been swapped for larger, more robust Maxon motors.

The head is fully encoded and can be operated wirelessly. It is controlled by joystick but can work with a fluid head or wheels - you just need to speak to Ravensclaw or General Lift.

All the work has been done by Ravensclaw, the original manufacturer of the Talon. This head was purchased in the Fall of 2011 and has worked flawlessly on some very difficult shoots.

For more information, please visit Varizoom's website here: http://www.varizoom.com/product-p/vzcinemapro-k3.htm

This is a link to the head without modifications.

PRICE: $19,500 [FIRM]

The head is located near Culver City, CA.

For serious buyers, you are welcome to visit and inspect the head.

SALES TAX: For California buyers, we will be charging sales tax but will accept the section 6378 tax exemption (3.5%).
PAYMENT BY WIRE TRANSFER ONLY

A quick question. Based on the modification of the side support and motors, could I assume the modified head could hold a Alexa with a 4-1 pana lens?
Thanks in advanced.

Hi Joe-

The Talon would have no problem running an Alexa/4:1 combo. We've run a similar set-up with an F23/5x6. The full 3D Atom rig w/ Epics & Optimos that we primarily use ran 75 lbs.

I should also mention that the Talon can be converted back to the original L-shape, if people were curious.

Cheers,
Tom
