  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Using four cameras to shoot an hour long class: RED Helium 8k, 2x FS700, 1 Nikon D850. The first three cameras are easy enough to sync, but the D850 breaks video into 4GB segments. This ends me up with 15 or 16 clips. Up until now I have been syncing them by putting each video clip on it's own track, along with each audio clip on it's own channel, in Premiere. I then lock the video track of the RED, select everything, and hit sync. Once synced I then slide all clips until the RED audio is back inline with it's video track. I lock the RED video track because I need to keep it in its original place so it still syncs with the other two cameras in the multitrack sequences. This process works, but I can't help feeling there is a better way that I am not aware of. Premiere can't sync multiple clips if they are on the same tracks/channels. Is there something else that can?

Any help would be appreciated.

Stay healthy,

Eric

This is what my currently painful D850 syncing workflow looks like:
