I also have the WC UVF kit, but upgraded it with an additional extension arm and extra mount for a large LCD for quick changes and breakdown. This post is long enough. PM if you want to see pictures. It's pretty sweet.

for a scarlet a should need an easy riser?

Correct. You would need a riser for epic or scarlet, but not for R1.
