Hey,

Are there any Sync and Link X users out there? I'm having a little trouble with the app and would like to figure out where I'm going wrong.

I've contacted their support and received a reply stating that they couldn't replicate the error. The log file showed that the app had sync'd all the clips that had sound, but reported that a bunch of clips were not synced. This was to be expected as we shot about 16 clips mute.

I'm using the latest version of FCPX and REDCine X.

I'm using Wav2Bwf to convert timecode recorded as audio into bona fide TC. It works fine in RCX and from the logfile, Sync and Link is able to connect the clips.

The R3D files had RMD's already from their pass through RCX. The files arrived in FCPX without issue. I have the event setup as the Sync and Link pdf recommends. When I import the xml into Sync and Link, I get this:

undefined method `body' for nil:NilClass
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Frameworks/RubyCocoa.framework/Resources/ruby/osx/objc/oc_import.rb:187:in `parse_event_xml'
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Resources/third-party/rubygems/gems/nokogiri-1.5.9/lib/nokogiri/xml/node_set.rb:239:in `each'
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Resources/third-party/rubygems/gems/nokogiri-1.5.9/lib/nokogiri/xml/node_set.rb:238:in `upto'
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Resources/third-party/rubygems/gems/nokogiri-1.5.9/lib/nokogiri/xml/node_set.rb:238:in `each'
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Resources/AppController.rb:186:in `parse_event_xml'
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Resources/AppController.rb:186:in `application_openFile'
/Applications/Sync-N-Link X.app/Contents/Resources/AppController.rb:135:in `didEndOpenSheet_returnCode_contextInfo'

I have tried ditching the RMD's and starting from scratch, without success.

Anyone out there experience this and find a solution?

Hmm, interesting. I'm just getting started using Sync N Link so can't help much I'm afraid. Could you maybe send some files to the software creators so they could look at the problem? That is probably your best chance

Hi Mondo,

I have the same error as you. Can you tell me what the problem was?

Thanks,

Willy Faes

Hi Willy,

Unfortunately, to date I've been unable to resolve the situation because I had to move onto a new project and we resolved the previous issue manually - we were in a hurry.

To reply to Andreas too, I got in touch with their support and the situation was left at the point where I had to supply them with test files. Due to the size and confidentiality of the files in question, it necessitated the production of specific files for debugging. I'll get to it soon but have to finish this current project.

Sorry I can't offer anything more constructive at this point.
