So... are those batteries good, or not with a DSMC ??!

Ketch Rossi said "Swit batteries are not good batteries, I don't care what any one else says."
Manuel Wenger said "+1 for Swit 80+80Wh, i have 8 of them in use since mid 2008 and only one seems to die now slowly."
And Antti Pirskanen said "The Swit battery you mention has a max output current of 5.5A. Epic operation guide (page 32) says that it draws a maximum of 12A."

Well... did anyone got those for years, and tested them with a DSMC ?

For the same price, I hesitate between 3 Swit 80+80wH and 4 GMP 160wH, primarily for airplane questions...
lots of people said they can take on cabin 2x160wH spare + 1x160wH on camera.
Both batteries can be interesting, but the rules change "every" months,
and I can't afford a new set of batteries every time the wind changes !
So in this case the Swit 80+80 are time-proof...
but, at the opposite, if the Swit are not as good the GMP,
of course I don't care about airplane question...
the most important is a working camera !!

What a dilemma.... :001_rolleyes:

Hello Jack,

My experience: the SWIT 80 + 80 batteries are great batteries. They have outperformed my RED bricks (which have also been pretty good). SWIT has also provided great customer service. They offer a 2 year warranty on the 80 + 80 batteries.

I have never tried the Global Media Pro batteries, so I can't compare them, but my experience has been similar to Manuel's

I also have owned a couple of these, and they've been strong and long lasting.
They were great value.
Seem to be fine with the epic, but I'll time them next week.
the stackable IDXs might be worth looking into as well, though.

Thanks for your answers.

So, yes, the IDX sounds great, but...
300$ for GMP, 450$ for Swit, and.... 677$ for IDX Elite !!
Too much for a tight budget...

Does anybody know if the Swit are showing percentage, or voltage ? with Viewfactor plate ?
