Superman 4/Reboot Trailer

No offense meant to anyone on the production team, but (rant follows):

Another Spiderman reboot/origin story? Excuse me while I give out a big yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn. The Tobey Maguire version was released in 2002. And with another Superman reboot on the way, only a few years after Bryan Singer's version, I'm beginning to suspect that Hollywood thinks we all have Alzheimers.

If the powers that be really want to reboot some series, they should start by repairing the damage done with some really interesting potential franchises that were messsed up at #1, like Judge Dread, Max Payne, Daredevil and the Silver Surfer (too great a character to wasted as an extra on the Fantastic Four)

Paul, I totally understand your frustrations with what these movies are doing to my childhood comic book superheroes. Hollywood loves to change the mythos of these characters and the comic writers tend to follow suit.

I would say that money and the rights to these superheroes has a lot to do with why they keep pumping these things out as a fast turnaround.

Sony needs to keep milking as much money as they can from Spiderman, because they will eventually lose them to Disney/Marvel. The same goes for many of Marvel's comic book properties.
X-men movies rights are owed by Fox. So they need to keep making these movies to make the most of their investment.

As much as it kills me to see superhero movies get the Hollywood Hack job, the director of the Amazing Spiderman is Marc Webb, who directed and 500 Days of Summer (an Independent Film to many) . A great movie in my opinion. With John Schwartzman, being the DOP. I will have to give this movie a chance before I'm the one to cast the first stone.

This is Red USER. The thread is called Shot on Red. I kind of thought this was about the footage. Which I think looks amazing!!!! if even if you don't think Spiderman is.

As a movie I personally think it has a lot of potential. 500 days of Summer is one of the best movies of the last couple of years. I agree its a little soon to reboot and not just make another movie in the series but Spiderman was way too lucrative to put down I expect and the youth who are the main audience for these movies anyway and will happily watch a new Spiderman. I'm way more interested in a Superman reboot as so far I honestly don't think they have made an adult movie for Superman and I'm guessing the reboot will be way darker and will achieve this.

It's Spiderman, not Superman.

Yeah I'ma dumbass I guess I was thinking about the Superman reboot when I posted. Does anyone know how to change a thread title? I can't find it in basic post editing.

1:40-> straight out from Mirrors Edge. Even the graphics look the same. Pretty shameless copying.
