RED Super 35mm sensor area 2540p
24.4mm x 13.7mm

Sunex
Focal length 5.6mm
185° field of view Image circle: ~14.5mm

I no not think you will get a full circle with this lens. None of the full frame fisheye lenses will give you a full circle without using 2 lenses and a reversing ring.

It does not look like this would give me the full circular image recorded within the frame, or am i reading this incorrectly? He wants the full circlular image recorded within, obviously. Do you know if this will happen?

Nikon 6mm will work I think. Very rare & expensive lens. Not 8mm - sensor is too cropped.

Or else, just don't use a Red.

EDIT: Enzo is right, I think. Try an optical relay.

Yes, i have been searching but i was seeming to get mixed answers and spending a lot of time getting them. Sometimes we all don't have the time and it's easier to quickly ask. Thanks for those links though, i'll be checking em now.

I think your best choice is the Sigma 4.5mm with a RED Nikon mount. The "rig it" deal with using 3 lenses and reversing rings works... but would be a bit of a pain on a real shoot with a client. I don't know if you will be able to do the put the lens a a still camera stop down and then put it on the RED trick with this lens since it does not have an iris ring. You can do that with Canon lenses but I do not know about the Nikon -- anyone? Or shoot at F2.8.....

Good luck.

Hi all!

I work in Novosibirsk Russia to the Planetarium, we also want to do a live video for the dome of the planetarium. Now we want to buy a camera and shoot RED EPIC 5K video. Of the lenses, we plan to use the Sigma 4.5 mm Canon mount, and Sunex Super FishEye 5.6 mm, T5.6 Canon mount.
