I took my wife and daughter to one of our favorite spots to do some test shooting. Given how harsh the light was that afternoon the Raven held up phenomenally. All 60fps/120fps at 4.5K

Shot using my 18mm Zeiss Distagon ZF. No ND.

Gorgeous work, Joe.
Your video there should help remove all doubt anybody has about the Raven.

Unfortunately I need to re-up on some ND and was forced to hang at F18/F22.

I don't mind the dots, but what was the ISO on this? Seems odd to show up at ISO250, which I guess is what it was shot with?

This was pretty rare on my Dragon, and now Weapon. It certainly wouldn't be this bad if the lens wasn't stopped down so much.

thanx for pointing this out! i thought this problem was finally solved with weapon but I also found a shot with red dots in my footage I havent noticed wihle filming ... will try open up more next time!

Yeah, for some reason the dots didn't bother me in this video, kind of became part of the vibe. But if you didn't want them there, then it would need to be addressed via lens/filtration, etc.

Nice shots too!

It ranged between 400-800. I did half of it using RAW Display and the other RedGamma4. Just trying things out.

Yeah ND is definitely part of the kit. Even a Variable. Your video reminds me of when I first got my Epic 3 years ago. Went to the beach to shoot too!

Haha awesome man, there's no better place! Although I'm always highly paranoid around all that sand. Your location looked much more preferable.

Nice Shots! The dots did not bother me either, but as Steve said, if they were not intended, then I can understand your frustration. As already mentioned, more ND so you are not stopped down as much.

Thanks Stacey, appreciate it. I knew going into it that the red dots may happen w/o ND. It was really my first time turning the thing on, so I just wanted to see what I could get away with using what I had on hand and using what Red sent me, hence doing everything handheld. Not frustrated in the least, pretty happy with what I got to be honest.
