It will be interesting to see how they price this. I watched several films from a festival that went virtual and offered free access, and I avoided another semi-local festival that had some interesting films but wanted nearly normal / full pricing for a pass. Most of the costs associated with a festival disappear when there are no venues involved, no travel fees for bringing directors and stars over, no insurance, no security etc. I would hope some festivals look at going virtual as a way to show films to a much larger audience at a much lower cost, ideally free. The money they collect from submissions should more than cover the costs of a virtual offering. I looked at the Sundance site but did not see pass pricing.

Since it's about two months plus away, they are probably finalizing everything.
