Suggestions on Pocket Digital Camera?

Hi there,

Looking for a small/very compact digital camera with more the 3x optical zoom, 7mb-ish or more, great pictures. Any suggestions?

for best picture look for biggest chip size available

I like 8MPix Fujifilm FinePix F40fd, but dont know if its compact enough for you. It has chip size 1/1.6". Only 3x opt. zoom.

The Panasonic Lumix series are very nice, compact, and most importantly they have excellent leica lenses.

I have the LX2 which is good but not very compact, but there are other models who would fit your needs.

It comes out April 1. I am considering getting one myself.

You're right,
but AFAIK this is the case for all these pocket cameras with small sensors.
I guess Canon is a bit better at it (mostly due to better processing), but I wouldn't recomend going over 400 ASA anyway.

100 ASA is fine and 200 ASA is OK. 400 ASA starts to be a bit noisy.
Can't have everything. :wink:
