  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Stylus Suggestions?

You didn't screw anything up, Jeff. There's just a lot of misinformation in this thread. You've been on the money, that stylus will work just fine.

Thanks Andy, at least we all learned something. I went back and fixed any posts that I could edit so it's clear that we need a capacitive touch compatible stylus.

Ok, it looks like I totally screwed up this thread. I offered this stylus as a solution and warned it would not work, even though it's labeled as capacitive touch and made for iDevices...

You didn't screw up the thread. I think I did that.

Anyway, we'll leave it to the experts next time who inform us indeed the RED 5" LCD uses a capacitive touch screen.

Sorry for the confusion!

I really am sorry my confusion led to some of the incorrect information earlier in this thread, so I thought I'd add one more post to set the record straight.

I bought one of these - and it's RED:

of course, my Scarlet hasn't arrived yet to test it on!!

This BoxWave stylus is exactly the one we tested last summer. I can't explain why I didn't think it worked well, because after the snafu in this thread I dug it up from storage and tried it again. It works great. Must have been operator error months ago and bad information regarding the cause of our observations.

Just to set the record straight about using a capacitive touch screen stylus in particular the BoxWave product, it seems to work great upon further testing.

I'll make sure to stay out of the review business or be more accurate next time.

Thanks for the education guys.

The Wacom Bamboo sylus is the best capacitive stylus on the market. THe nib is relatively firm and narrower than others. It is extremely well build and durable. It might be slightly more pricy than others but it is designed for use with the iPad and I use it for mostly for storyboarding, sculpting and drawing. So its accuracy is exceptionally good. It is the best thus far, and I have tried them all. The second best is the Pogo, as I don't think the Dagi is appropriate for what we are talking about here.
