  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello,

Our Epic Dragon seems to always have issues with noise, even though filming in just dimmed environments and not really dark ones.
We have done the necessary calibrations as well, but still the footage is suffering often and quite a lot.

Does anyone else have experience and solutions for this?

Thanks,

That might be it ofcourse. I am just a newbie really, so I haven't tried to change the OLPF yet...

If you post an R3D, chances are many people can tell you how many stops it is under-exposed ;-)

If you're doing anything less than a Full debayer, that would also contribute to this type of problem.

I use the Skin-tone OLPF and have no issues at ISO 2000 on my Weapon, but then I think an image with zero noise
looks digital and plastic, and un-film like.

Yeah, I am no fan of totally noiseless images, but this is noise even when daylight is pretty strong in frame. I will take a look at the OLPF and also post something for you. Thanks for the feedback anyways :-)
