Do you know of anyone or yourself who used strobes with the epic or scarlet successfully?
If not right now will these functions be coming?

From what I remember in earlier posts, this would not be possible, but if something has changed I would love to hear about it too.

I read somewhere on this forum that "slow sync" strobes would work, although nobody could point me to what that was exactly...

Well, test it with your own strobes. Mine always seem to fire across the whole frame. You can actually see on the monitor when it's rolling whether you got it or not. Then scrub through in RCX to be sure. Of course this isn't really workable for fashion... but for product or architecture it works fine.

I've tried it a few different ways... at 24fps, 8fps, 3fps. It's easier to "catch" the strobe with the higher frame rates... definitely calls for experimentation. Others have reported success with this technique, tho..

Scarlet strobe technique and shutter sound once REC button is hit

Scarlet strobe technique and shutter sound once REC button is hit

Hey guys! I just got my scarlet and I am excited to get into this world. I would appreciate if someone can shed light on using the scarlet for stills -specifically regarding a shutter sound the camera makes when you hit the rec button in stills mode-

i heard about this in this video: http://vimeo.com/17284304

tonaci discusses the EPIC and this newly implemented feature, can someone explain this to me in more details and can someone tell me if it also goes for the scarlet?

And more info on strobe usage would make my day ;)

thanks guy!
