  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

STRANGE...

Von,
Do you have any of the post effects enabled??

What resolution setting are you working at?
I would try dropping down the res for playback and see if that helps.

Greg M is correct here, The RCX Pro player will pause and wait for the buffer to fill with 1 second of video anytime the buffer runs out. This ensures that during playback you are seeing the video at the correct rate without dropping frames.

drop resolution or use a faster computer...its pausing because it didn't buffer enough to play.
are you on 1/8 or 1/4?

I'm using a new MacPro, 20GB RAM, Rocket, Maxx Digital Evo Mini SAS RAID. I've never experienced this before. We are using Epic, and I do what I always do, nothing more. My resolution is 1/2, but I also reduced to 1/4, and got the same thing. While showing DP a clip, it will stop, or pause for a second, then resume. Makes you think something is wrong with the file.

What are the resolution and redcode settings for the clip? Also what resolution are you attempting to play back at?

5K FF, 5:1, and both 1/2 and 1/4.

Von,

5K FF is currently below real-time playback. We're trying to squeeze more out of the Rocket, hopefully we'll have more on that soon. We're also working on a better indicator system to show you when RCX is buffering.
