strange problem with Epic SDI output

Switch the output to 720- the wf on a 1710 wont support 1080p 23.98 signal i believe.

Just tried this and it solved the problem! Thanks! Waveform is back when I set the Epic output to 720p.
Now I just have to choose whether to record a backup 1080p signal to my PIX240, or use the waveform on my Panasonic 1710. Can't do both.
Buying a better monitor is the eventual solution...

This WFM problem happened to me too. The 1710 monitor's manual even says it cannot display the WFM at 1080 resolution. I can't believe this! I think I remember doing this a long time ago on a Panasonic 1700. That manual doesn't mention any incompatibility like this... why on earth would Panasonic remove that functionality?! Can anyone confirm that the 1700 works with WFM in 1080, or am I just crazy?

On BTLH1700 WFM works at 1080 resolution.

Amazing that they would remove a feature like that on a newer model. Oh well, I'll be returning this anyway, to buy an FSI LM-2140.

I've fed 1080p from a 3700 varicam and use the Waveform monitor. But my scarlet, epic, etc nothing.
