Hey folks!

Newbie here ;-)

Anyways, here's the thing... I was ingesting RED footage into FCP (native, as clips and notice that there's some random clips that haven't been completly transferred (some clips are just a few frames long). First I thought this was because of lacking disk space but there was more than enough of that. Then I checked the RED material in Redcine and RedAlert, all fine, too.
So then I decided to just delete those clips and ingest everything once again. The clips are now in their complete length but now the brightness of the clips is so low its sometimes impossible to decide wheter the shot should be used for the final product! No settings were changed, the computer remained untouched inbetween the two attempts (with the exeption of me installing the redcinex beta).

So, that's my problem. anyone ever had anything similar? or a hint what this issue could be? help is greatly appreciated :)

Cheers!

Try to generate new QTs in RA.

If you are going into Apple color afterwards, you'll have access to the RAW processing options, and different colorspaces, etc..

I know but this doesnt help since my problem is that I cant judge which shots to use or not because I can't see anything...

@ uli: do you mean qt proxies? or "real" qt's off redalert?

No, new proxies. Has helped me at times…

ok, thanks. I shall try that, then.

but just out of interest... how does making new proxies change whats wrong within the r3d files?
