Hi Red users,
I'm very new to the Red family. I own an Epic-Dragon.
Hoping someone can help me resolve a strange issue.
I shot 23.98 at 6K HD.
I've transcoded all of the media using XDCAMHD 50 60i as per my client's request.
Albeit losing quality, the video plays back fine and is usable.
The issue is that the images I shot at 1080 (for reasons of cropping the sensor and getting extreme close-up with my macro lens), when transcoded using the exact same preset has a very strange flash/flicker rendering the conversions unusable. The flicker occurs consistently.
I understand this is not an optimal workflow, I personally edit natively in Premiere CC, but this is what my deliverables are on this project.
Any idea why the transcoding would work with images shot in 6K HD, but not 1080HD?
Any input would be much appreciated.
