Have any stolen Red cameras ever been recovered?

Last year I had a Scarlet Stolen. It was reported to RED. A few weeks later someone was going to buy the camera from the theif. Before buying they called RED to check on warranty and history of the camera. RED contacted me and let me know someone was trying to sell the camera. From there the Police were able to set up a sting to go an purchase the camera from the perp. He was caught, went to jail, and I got my Scarlet back. That was a good ending.

Now Sept 2 2014 We were broken into again and they made off with EPIC-X 04596

I am hoping for the same outcome, fingers crossed.......

were they someone you had done business with or just a random thief?

WOW!!! I hate to hear these type of stories. I was the victim of a camera theft at the beginning of this year and I totally know how it feels. I hope these people are caught. SMH.

Gee Hildebrand, thanks for letting us know and sorry to hear this.

Bonjour Antoine,
C'est le pire des scenarios ou le vol de ta camera est couvert par une assurance?
De toutes façons, bon courage!
