I thought asking if a camera had been noted on Reds system as stolen would be a simple case of passing along the serial and getting a thumbs up.
However I`m told the owner must agree to disclosing this info and best done as part of the transfer of ownership. That seems fine on the surface - you are buying from the owner after all?
But I see more and more cameras where the seller is not the registered owner. I own one like that - a camera changes hands perhaps a few times and the registered owner might not always be available.
Pointing this out in case anyone is buying or thinking of selling a camera that has not had a title transfer.
