Just shot this today during the 30 minutes that it was NOT raining. It's an HDRx frame, but not sure if I exposed or graded it well enough to show the range.

Either way, it's a 5K still from an Epic-X and a 50mm RPP.

A bit bigger: http://cinespeed.com/sunset1_hdrx.jpg

I have to say the image quality is impressive ( Approx. 14mp Right ?)
Has the Dragon Sensor the same MP count ?

Just wondering will it be possible to upgrade from the current Scarlet to the FF Monstro when released ?
Not taking anything from the Dragon but I think the real benefits (for current Scarlet owners) may come from upgrading to the FF Monsto.

Dragon has to be more but they haven't said how much... MX at 5k is ~14 APS-H, 4k at ~8-9 APS-C... so pretty capable stills cameras when you adjust the shutter to match.

Dragon is slightly larger than APS-H (which is already 1.3x), so I'm guessing 1.2x crop factor... So FF might not be as much of an advantage as you'd imagine. Plus it's 15+ stops of native dynamic range... isn't that more than even the latest DSLR sensors? 15 PLUS and it's still in development...

R1, Original M sensor, Nikon 80-200mm, 23.98fps, 1/48 shutter, no sharpening added.

These images on this thread are so great. Truly an honor to be here.

Here are a few shots from the other night. Red One MX 24p . Shot under tungsten lights (1 4x4 bank Kino, 2 par 64 750w cans, and one Arri 650 fresnel). Straight from camera with a whitebalance, Redcolor 3, Redgamma 3, and skin soften. No color correction.

This one is 3K 48fps, 180 degree shutter.
