Stills from RED

Hello! I'm new to RED and I need to know the best way to extract stills from RED footage.
I have a 3 day shoot that was short-listed in FCP (V6, but I now have V7) using med res movs. Is there a way to link back to the original R3Ds from Final Cut?
If I go to 'reveal in finder' it's easy to find the corresponding R3D but when I go to 'open with' > 'Red Alert' I get an error (REDAlert cannot open files in the RED RAW R3D format).
The only way I can open an R3D is through the RED Alert file menu 'Open R3D...' which makes it time consuming to have to identify the file names manually.
I've also tried with REDCine-X, but again can't open clips from the finder.

Am I missing something? Well, I know I am! :blush5:

Clipfinder can read an FCP XML and will then let you open clips in RED Alert to pull stills.

When I needed stills from my recent projects, I opened the clips in Premiere CS4, moved to the frame I wanted, then chose Export.

I think you can also do it from within RedCine.
