  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Stills from a RED ONE.

Beautifully captured, love the tonality, this image looks as if was taken with a MF camera, as I hadn't seen any images with such detail, if wasn't posted by such regard Pros, I would had a bit of hard time believing it was actually from RED.

But this is precisely what I have been hoping for, RED cameras in the full capacity of been used also as a medium to extract pics in such high quality.

Now can't wait to see first takes of the new Big brother EPIC 645 and little sister SCARLET, as I'll get deeply envolved in my feature projects I must keep gear load to a minimum, so truly look forward to the RED solution for both Cinematography and Photography capture.

ciao

Sorry, NDA :(

Nuts, I was really interested in your reply about the lighting:nerd:. They are gorgeous. It's a great series of images and a great concept to capture the uninflected concentration of those kids. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

While it will take some time to finish the cameras, the 2/3" and S35 Mysterium-X sensors are finished. We'll post images from our test bed in the not-to-distant future. You will not be disappointed.

Spring`2009: Code word - 2/3".

Please, please, please.

I use a lot of my footage for print. And it was mine first thought when I first heard of the Red camera. Soon it will be even better.

I was fascinated by the setup they used for this to get straight shots of people playing (camera behind glass, project images onto the glass).

I was at QuakeCon this past summer (big video game tournament) taking pictures and shooting video for a website (Canon G9 and a Sony handycam or something) and took a lot of "faces of game" shots. I had some great video of this one pro player, wearing sunglasses in the dark room, and I got the reflection of his game in his glasses on tape. I need to go find that footage, even though its nowhere near Red quality.

First few pictures were taken with built 8. Those pictures were not so good quality as with recent builds like 17 which was used for 3 last shoots in NY. I worked on NY shoots and my camera with build 17 was used there.
Project is very interesting. There was video, audio, game audio captured at the same time. It was shot at 25fps, 1/100 sec shutter, 4K 2:1

Basically shooting through a Teleprompter setup, right?

The kid tears up because he's so into the game that he doesn't blink. Scary.

Hey Mitch,

Yes, that was teleprompter and Playstation or Xbox connected to it. Kids were playing games on teleprompter. It was video at 4K, audio from game station and audio from mic just overhead. Watching some of the footage and kids looking straight at camera and talking about how to kill best to get better weapon or advance was surreal.
I like project a lot and it was great to be involved.
