Hello.
I made an attempt to use some strobes with my Red Scarlet yesterday. Putting the camera in the Stills Mode and setting the strobes to fire using a soft key that was labeled to fire the stobes.
I attempted connecting the strobes directly with a sync cable off the side handle. Nothing happened when pressing the soft key.
I made another attempt using my wireless pocket wizard connected to the side handle, and still nothing happened when pressing the soft key.
Can anyone tell me how to get this to work?
Is there any type of Video to review settings in stills mode?

Thanks !

This was on another thread:

--- Just select a button that feels comfortable for you and assign it to "Strobe:Trigger" which is available in the custom setup or via the KeyMapper which is part of the DSMC Toolkit. If you use this button it will trigger a flash which is perfectly in sync with your frame.-----
Did you try to map it to a different button?

Ken, I didn´t try a soft key yet. It worked just fine with a physical key, even on a Redmote which I used to avoid camera shake when triggering. You may pay attention to that other crucial info I gave on the thread Alberto linked to. Cheers, Ulf

Thank You Ulf, and Alberto
I was successful going through the key mapping. Pretty sure my first attempt was only half right. I was on the right path, but using the wrong keys.
After that small success, I was wondering what settings work best when attempting to get stills with strobes out of a RED Scarlet?

I am doing some reading on still mode, but I was wondering if I could ask you in your experience.
Is it better to be in motion mode and record bursts? Or to be in Stills Mode?

What frame rates and shutter speeds work best?

I would love to find some kind of tutorial video on stills mode.

Thanks again!!
