Steve Jobs...

Whatever health issues Steve Jobs has, you can be sure he's receiving the very best of care. There's nothing more reassuring as a patient than knowing your medical team is doing their best and is really pulling for you.

I just came through an emergency procedure 3 weeks ago for a bowel tumour that was back on the grow. There was not a lot of hoped attached to the discussions I had with the surgeon before surgery. I was going to lose my entire large colon and have to have a colostomy bag for the rest of my life (I'm 35) plus they were pretty sure they wouldn't be able to touch the cancer due to it's proximity to main arteries.

I went in to that procedure thinking life as I kew it was over.... came out the other side of a miracle where the surgeons were totally surprised to find that "the scans weren't quite accurate" (scans taken 12 hours earlier) and they were able to take out my bowel cancer entirely. The bag side of things is only necessary until the bowel heals and then they'll fix me up so my bowel functions naturally again. I only lost 10% of my bowel in the process.

I went from no hope to best possible outcome overnight. As a father and husband who has been fighting cancer for nearly 2 years now, I have seen my fair share of miracles.... I'll be praying for Steve. He's the one guy I would love to sit down with and let him download into my life.

Hero is definitely the word.
