I have just posted a few technical Stereo 3d tests on my website, www.icolor.no (under online. I have also posted a short brief on my workflow in the "news" section). I must confess that the quality is not great - but seeing as these are my first shots I'm still quite pleased. I used a very crude rig with no possibilities for adjustments or measuring other than screwing the cameras on and two HVR-A1E cameras. I can see however, that even this very simple equipment, with some experience, could produce some nice results - not recommended for a feature by all means, but for short form stuff and especially for anyone wanting to get their feet wet!

What I would be really interested in is if anyone could tell me how to make anaglyph images as good as saturated as possible? I've tried playing around with the RGB channels to get as much color as possible without introducing interference but they are not looking amazing. Hopefully we don't have to deal with anaglyph to much longer...

Helge - your stereo is looking quite good - a true pleasure to watch.

Do you know of Peter Wimmer's Stereoscopic Player. It is an excellent stereo viewer that allows for viewing in most every form of stereo available. There are many many varieties of anaglyphs available to make the most of your footage. I have never tried to export anaglyph from the player but I would suspect it should be possible.

There is a free trial and to buy the software is very affordable for an individual license. I know that studios here in Los Angeles working in stereo very often use Peter's player for viewing and previewing their work.

Colored glasses sold for viewing ghost quite a bit, in my docs I go into what LEE gels can be used to make better glasses, and some other optical aids.

For those who are interested, I have been doing some trials with SpeedGrade 2008 today - it's a great tool for stereo finishing.
